Meet The Band
Scott Smith
Guitar / Lead Vocals / Songwiter
A native of the Chicago area, Scott 's love of country music came from his Louisiana born dad, Jerry. He inherited his singing voice from his mother, Kathy. His career as a songwiriter and touring musician began after many years as a non-profit leader, community organizer, professor of legal studies, and at home dad. He formed the North County Band in 2020. "The mission of the North County Band is to touch hearts. We are guided by three pirnciples. Creativity, support for fellow artists, and a touch of philanthropy."
Bradley Clark
Bass Guitar
Knowing at an early age that bass guitar was calling him, Brad has drawn piano and guitar influence from his Mother and chose to follow his own path with the low bass frequencies. Often choosing a humble, dynamic and selective style, and "less is more" playing approach with focus on notes played and not played, Brad can easily frame the foundation for most any performance situation. His experience on the road through countless Casinos, Theaters, and Corporate events and experience with many session greats along the way has led him down a path as a valued rock, country, tribute, and original style bass player / side-man.
Jona Ziac
Lap Steel / Dobro
Jonathan (Jona) Ziac is a multi-instrumentalist who has performing wih bands for over 35 years. He has played hundreds of stages including Infinity Hall, The Warner Theatre, Daryl's House Club, and the Georgia Theatre in Athens GA. Jona has recorded with Bluegrass outfit Switch Factory at the Relix Magazine Studio in NYC and is a member of Dim Lights Thick Smoke. His primary instruments are Dobro, lap steel, guitar and bass and he enjoys playing many genres of music including blues, rock, country, and bluegrass. Always up for new musical adventures Jona enjoys sitting in with other groups as well as staying busy is his primary bands.
David Rauh
Drums
Dave studied applied percussion at the University of South Florida. While there he began to work in clubs regularly and continued to play full time in the Tampa Bay. area. Dave worked and recorded with original music groups “Circa 88” and “the Jeremiah Long band”, Co-producing Jeremiah’s second LP “One Time Around”, and in recent years performed regularly in the Fairfield County area with cover bands” Voodoo Carnival”, “The Girls and the Boys”, acoustic trio; “Deep Valley Road”, Gregory Frost and the Dark Arts", and the popular “Cooked Up”. Dave’s influences include Ringo, Keith Moon, Stuart Copeland, Billy Cobham, and Bob Moses.
